Synalar Directions To Use
Ointment and cream: Apply a thin layer to the affected area two or three times daily. Do not apply this medication near the eyes. Do not use under dressings that don't breathe unless instructed to do so by your doctor.
Solution: The recommended dose consists of a thin film applied to the affected area two to four times daily as prescribed by your doctor. On hairy sites, the hair should be parted to allow direct contact with the affected area.
Avoid getting this medication into your eyes. If contact does occur, flush your eyes immediately with plenty of water.
Many things can affect the dose of medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
It is very important that this medication be used exactly as prescribed by the doctor. If you miss a dose of this medication use it as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and carry on with your regular schedule. Do not double-up on doses.
Synalar Warnings and Side Effects
If your condition shows no signs of improvement or becomes worse within a few days, check with your doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not use Synalar longer than the time prescribed. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding before taking this medicine.
The side effects listed below are not experienced by everyone who takes this medication. If you are concerned about side effects, discuss the risk and benefits of this medication with your doctor. Your health professional may be able to help you to deal with some of the effects.
The following side effects may go away as your body becomes used to the medicine; check with your doctor if they continue or become bothersome.

- burning, dryness, irritation, itching, or redness of skin (usually mild and temporary)
- increased redness or scaling of skin sores (usually mild and temporary)
- skin rash (usually mild and temporary)
Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

- blood-containing blisters on skin
- burning and itching of skin
- lack of healing of skin condition
- numbness in fingers
- painful, red or itchy, pus-containing blisters in hair follicles
- raised, dark red, wart-like spots on skin, especially when used on the face
- skin infection
Synalar Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next application, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Store Synalar at room temperature, away from heat and light. Keep out of the reach of children.
Synalar may be harmful if swallowed. Seek emergency medical attention if an overdose is suspected.
